  • Our portfolio interest is centered on B2B healthcare AI startups. We focus on technologies expanding what is possible across care delivery, clinical decision-making, and healthcare infrastructure, while remaining grounded in the broader AI healthcare ecosystem.

  • The name Cold Harbor emerged during early discussions about the firm’s vision, direction, and identity. It took shape while reflecting on the hardships faced by those who pursued a new life centuries ago, from early settlers arriving in the Americas three to four hundred years ago to later waves of Italian, German, and Irish immigrants entering through Ellis Island during the cold winters of New York City.

    They arrived with little more than a few belongings, their families, and a belief that a better life was possible. What they lacked in resources, they made up for in resilience and hope. Standing at the edge of the unknown, they faced uncertainty with resolve, and that moment became the foundation of the name Cold Harbor.

    The firm sees a parallel in today’s innovators and founders. Building a company often requires leaving behind certainty in pursuit of something better, driven by belief rather than guarantees. Cold Harbor reflects that shared journey, one defined by risk, perseverance, and the courage to pursue progress despite uncertainty.
